drunken foolishness

okay, so my friend loves that phrase, and it fits perfectly, so had to use it!! friday was st. patty's day and of course, in new york, it's a huge deal. evidently, people start drinking at 6a and don't stop till they drop (literally). well, courtesy the irish bar on my corner, i can testify that it's true. on my way to go out (more on that later), i was lucky enough to pass a plethora of drunk people, all wearing some sort of green, as they stepped out to enjoy a smoke. now, imagine having to maneuver your way through this crowd just to get to the subway, which was full of more drunken people and seats with pee on them. fun. and of course, shady people hawking 2 for $5 st. patty's day ny shirts to tourists in times square, gotta love it. but anyways, so my friends decided they wanted to go saki bombing. guess we have all come to terms with the fact that we're, in fact, indian and not irish. so we get drunk the asian way --- ICHI NI SAN!! it was my first time saki bombing and i gotta tell you, it goes down smoother than you'd think! but luckily, i ended the night with full faculties, though the world was definitely spinning a little...
